  3.                         SPECIAL COMMANDS for BLOCK operations

  5.              (Alt)-B
  6.                        Mark the current  line as the start of BLOCK.  The 
  7.                        BLOCK  is displayed in HI-lighted mode.
  8.              (Alt)-N
  9.                        Terminates  the BLOCK.   A  second (Alt)-N may  be 
  10.                        used  to  enlarge or reduce the BLOCK as the  case 
  11.                        maybe.   Positioning  the  end of BLOCK  above the 
  12.                        start of BLOCK will delete the BLOCK.
  13.              (Alt)-Y
  14.                        Delete a marked area or a BLOCK,  see (Alt)-B, how 
  15.                        to create a BLOCK.
  16.              (Alt)-C
  17.                        Copies a marked area or a BLOCK before the current 
  18.                        line.  The copied BLOCK will be the new BLOCK. see 
  19.                        (Alt)-B, how to create a BLOCK.
  20.              (Alt)-V
  21.                        Moves a marked area or a BLOCK before the  current 
  22.                        line. see (Alt)-B, how to create a BLOCK.

  27.                        Writes the marked area or a BLOCK to another FILE. 
  28.                        The name of the FILE will be requested.  Enter the 
  29.                        full PATHname of the file as the case may be.

  33.              (Alt)-J
  34.                        Join  the  next line onto the current one  at  the 
  35.                        end.  All  lines  are truncated  to  80-characters 
  36.                        long, so care must be exercised in joining lines.
  37.              (Alt)-minus
  38.                        Split   the  current  line  into two parts at  the 
  39.                        cursor position.   At column  one  this adds a new 
  40.                        lines before the  current  one
  41.              (Alt)-K
  42.                        Erase the rest of the line starting at the current 
  43.                        cursor position.  If current position equals first 
  44.                        column position, then delete the whole line.

  76.                        Start search for a particular pattern.  The string

  80.                        Start  search for a particular pattern and replace 
  81.                        it with the replacement string. The string pattern 
  82.                        will  be  requested,  as well as  the  replacement 
  83.                        string.  The editor reconfirms whether the  change 
  84.                        is to be made or not.
